土耳其肚皮舞巨星 Sema Yildiz 介紹

和 Sema 相遇已經滿一週年了...

1978年，一個美國習舞團體來到土耳其伊斯坦堡的夜總會，當她們欣賞完舞台上一位舞者精湛的演出後，隨即衝入後台，希望能夠邀請這位舞者幫她們上課。儘管舞者發現這群人本身已熟稔肚皮舞基本動作，她們卻仍堅持要向這位舞者學習，因為她們想學的正是舞者在舞台上詮釋土耳其肚皮舞的那種方式及感覺。這位舞者名叫 Sema Yildiz。

即使到了 2007 年的農曆新年，我們前往土耳其向 Sema 學習時，依舊能感受到她在跳肚皮舞時，所散發出來那股令人深深著迷的魅力。

Sema 在土耳其肚皮舞近代史上佔有舉足輕重的地位，舉凡介紹土耳其肚皮舞的文章，都必定會提及這位擅長吉普賽風格的資深舞者，她的名字也常會出現在世界各地舞者的學舞經歷中。同好們在研習中東肚皮舞時，不能忽視這位重量級的人物。

§ Sema 小傳

土耳其肚皮舞流傳至今至少已有五百年的歷史，在鄂圖曼帝國時期，是專屬於後宮宮女表演給蘇丹及其賓客欣賞的宮廷舞蹈。爾後隨著吉普賽民族的融入，土耳其肚皮舞便開始深受吉普賽舞蹈的影響 ^(註)。帝國瓦解後，肚皮舞開始走入民間，到了 1960 年代迄今甚至成為土耳其夜總會吸引觀光客的重要表演節目。

Sema 躬逢其時正好生長在肚皮舞開始興盛的年代，她從小就愛上肚皮舞，常跑到婚宴會場看肚皮舞者表演。因為家就住在靠近吉普賽人聚集的地區，小時候玩伴中有許多是吉普賽女孩，Sema 常利用機會向她們學習。耳濡目染下，其舞風便自然帶有濃濃的吉普賽風格。

17 歲那年，Sema 在一場肚皮舞比賽中脫穎而出獲得了第三名，隨即在經紀人的安排下，展開了往後 20 多年亮麗的舞台生涯。除在土耳其國內知名的夜總會定期演出外，也曾到中東其他國家及歐洲巡迴表演，包括伊朗、敍利亞、黎巴嫩、比利時、盧森堡、德國、英國、澳洲、荷蘭、義大利、…等。

Sema 在 27 歲時開始教授肚皮舞。許多外國的習舞者在看完 Sema 舞台上的演出後，受其獨特的手勢及骨盆臀部強而有力擺動的地板動作所吸引，紛紛向其拜師學藝。也常有外國肚皮舞老師主動引薦自己的學生向 Sema 學習，以增廣見識。

Sema 自舞台退休後，仍專心致力於肚皮舞的教授。至今 30 年的教學經歷，學生早已遍及世界各地。土耳其許多夜總會的肚皮舞者大都是她的學生，而目前土耳其家喻戶曉的當紅舞者 Asena 及 Didem (吉普賽舞者)，也都曾向她拜師學藝。

Sema 曾數度受邀至 Raqia Hassan 夫人主辦的 "Ahlan wa Sahlan" 埃及肚皮舞節授課，也受邀到過遠東地區的日本、韓國、新加坡等國家開辦大師營。

即使到了今日，土耳其當地的女孩想要學習肚皮舞，或是外國舞者想要一窺土耳其肚皮舞堂奧，都還是會先想到 Sema Yildiz。

§ Sema 舞風

傳統的中東肚皮舞有兩大要角：埃及風格及土耳其風格，相信這是眾所周知的。

與埃及肚皮舞沈著細緻的舞風不同，土耳其肚皮舞較為自然熱情奔放且充滿活力。她們的表演形式以獨舞為主，表演的空間常會從舞台上延伸至觀眾席。紗巾及指鈸是土耳其舞者較常使用的道具 (她們較少使用手杖及燭台)。地板動作也是土耳其肚皮舞的一大特色。

Sema 的舞風除了是傳統的土耳其肚皮舞外 (紗巾、指鈸、鼓舞、地板動作等都是她的拿手絕活)，還呈現出一種外人常津津樂道的土耳其吉普賽風格 (Turkish Gypsy Style)。

伴隨著獨特的 karsilama 9/8 節奏及手勢，Sema 的吉普賽舞風帶有輕快的大幅度走位、跳躍、旋轉、及甩髮等動作。我們可以從底下這個影片片段得到印證。看 Sema 跳起舞來是不是令人感到愉快活潑呢？

儘管土耳其肚皮舞有其特色，近年來土耳其新一代的舞者卻逐漸向埃及舞風靠攏，並大量使用埃及傳統音樂或阿拉伯流行音樂，使得傳統土耳其風格肚皮舞面臨了消失的危機，令人感到婉惜。

在這樣的發展情勢下，同好們若想體驗真正地道的土味肚皮舞，自然就還是必須向老一輩的巨星如 Sema 學習了。這也是本文要特別介紹 Sema 的原因。

Very interesting to illustrate the comparison between Egyptian and Turkish styles.

I have started teaching Egyptian, Raqs Sharqi locally and have been very pleased with the response. There is a lot of interest in this lovely art form.
